Brandesburton No 2 Pond
The Brandesburton Ponds offer excellent fishing for various species of course fish.
Situated alongside Hempholme Lane, they offer easy access and ample parking.
No 2 Pond is one of four in the Brandesburton Complex. No 2 Pond is a mature gravel pit of about two acres holding a good head of sizeable roach and perch.
The roach fishing tends to be at its best early in the year when pole-fished maggots can produce some excellent sport. The water has seen the capture of some large perch in recent years, with fish up to 3Ib 10oz reported - you can't go far wrong with a good lobworm here.
There are also pike and eels present and a number of large carp.
The paths and swims are regularly maintained – all in all the pond offers good fishing in comfortable surroundings.
Brandesburton No 3 & 4 Pond
No 3 & 4 Pond is a gravel pit of about eight acres and this picturesque water is one of the Association's most popular fisheries.
The water holds a large head of carp which have grown well since their introduction several years ago. They mainly consist of upper doubles but there are also several 20lb-plus fish. An ideal water for both beginner and the more advanced angler, the carp will respond to most baits and, given the right conditions, several fish can be taken in a session.
Throughout the winter the water is popular with pike anglers who can expect to catch some good-sized fish.
Large numbers of bream are also present, with bags of over 100lb having being reported. Fish up to 9lb have been taken and, generally, they are not fussy and will readily take maggots, casters, sweet corn, worm and even boilies.
For the pleasure angler, who is happy just to fish maggots on the pole, there are plenty of roach and perch, with the chance of the odd bigger fish. This excellent mixed fishery offers something for most anglers.

Burshill A Pond
Burshill A is a pond about 1.5 acres and was created and developed as a pleasure fishery by the Association.
It is one of two ponds in the Burshill Fishery, part of the Brandesburton Complex.
Unlike the neighbouring pits it is shallow and flat-bottomed; it has been heavily stocked with the intention of making the fishing easy.
All the swims are easily accessible and the pond is well sheltered from the wind.
Previously the Pond has suffered with excessive weed growth, in early 2011 we plan to try a new treatment to alleviate the problem.
The venue is set to receive a major facelift in early 2011, with a new path and all new swims planned. Also, the venue is included in our re-stocking program; receiving 350 small carp in late 2009 and further stock in 2010
Burshill B Pond
Burshill B is one of two ponds in the Burshill Fishery part of the Brandesburton Complex.
A mature and fairly shallow fishery of about two acres. It is primarily a tench water but does contain roach, rudd, pike and the odd carp.
It can become weedy in summer, but in early 2011 we plan to try a new treatment to alleviate the problem. Early morning or evening are the best times for tench fishing and those caught are often of a good size. 5Ib fish are not uncommon, in 2008 a fish of 8Ib 2oz was reported.
The fishery received a major facelift in 2010, all swims renewed and an extra swim created, and also a completely new path has been created giving easy access around the venue.
The venue is another to benefit from the Association’s restocking program with; 450 crucian carp, 440 ide and 200 young tench stocked in late 2010.
